WHAT IS HAIR TRANSPLANT?

To know about the celebrities who had opted for hair transplantation, you must have acknowledged first about the procedure of this surgical hair loss treatment.

Hair transplants are the cosmetic procedures that are used to treat male and female pattern baldness. With this procedure, the patients can restore their lost hair and fill in scars that are caused by accidents or burns. A hair transplant surgery can permanently change the appearance of a person, but it will take up to a year to get the full transplanted hair growth.

This cosmetic surgical procedure is carried out by taking the hair grafts from the back of the head (donor area) and re-inserting the active hair follicles into the sparse area (recipient area). The extraction of healthy grafts generally takes place by two of the following techniques:

  • Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)
  • Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT)

Hair and hairstyles lend a large lot to the persona and add the quotient of glamour. Actors, models, tv artists, athletes, politicians, and even journalists are celebrities. We all look up to stars as role models. Generally, we all idolize someone or the other from the film industry or sports field. Looks play an essential role in Idol worship. Drastically altered appearances, especially in the case of baldness, make the celebrities often tend to lose a big chunk of their fan following. For people in the limelight and particularly in showbiz, they must maintain their youthful looks.

Famous people in the sports field and the glamour industry are exposed to sun damage and harsh lights. It adversely affects the health of the hair follicles resulting in hair fall. Hair transplantation has come as a boon for celebrities. The celebrities themselves do not always openly admit to having had hair transplants, but it becomes pretty evident from the growth of dense, youthful hair on their heads.

As a result, they tend to lose hair at a younger age. Though appearances are not a factor to be picked on the team, still everybody wants to look right age, being in the limelight whether on or off the field.

Shane Warne

Shane Warne is a much-loved cricketer internationally not only because of his grip on the game but also due to his charismatic looks, especially his hair. He makes no secret of the fact that he got his hair restored by the method of transplantation. Baldness makes one lose self-confidence, and you owe it to your fans, he has reportedly said.

The list can go on and on Sanjay Dutt, Govinda Jackie Shroff, Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, Akshaye Khanna, VirendraSehwaag, John Travolta, etc. Hair transplantation with new techniques like FUE is almost a hundred percent successful and without any side effects or risks.
